“ Took Wife #2 to Al Nar Hookah Lounge to make things right after she found out I spent an “extra” afternoon with Wife #3. She said, “You always remember your schedule after someone posts a story.” I said, “Let me make it up to you—with chicken tikka fries and accountability.” We picked a cozy corner inside — the perfect blend of soft lights, low music, and just enough privacy for her to pretend I didn’t exist while scrolling her phone. I ordered her go-to before she even sat: guava mojito, extra ice. She didn’t look up. But she sipped it. That’s when I knew I had a shot. I went with Mint Lion — strong, cold, and symbolic. She was mid-eye-roll when the waiter casually dropped off our order and leaned in: “Sir, we added an extra side of garlic sauce — figured tonight needed a little extra care.” Then he turned to her: “And your guava’s on us. You looked like you deserved that one.” She smiled. At him. But it was a start. The hookah hit perfectly. We started talking. Laughing a little. She even asked me to hold her phone while she took a video of the setup — a video that didn’t end with a passive-aggressive caption, for once. We stayed longer than planned.
